Making Every Day More Comfortable, Confident, and Independent

Help us create thoughtful clothing that gives people who use prosthetic limbs greater comfort, confidence, and freedom in everyday life.

Our Mission

The Amputee Outfitters Foundation supports the research and development of clothing designed specifically for people who use prosthetic limbs.

For many amputees, adjusting, removing, or maintaining a prosthesis can require partially removing their clothing. This can be inconvenient, uncomfortable, and difficult; especially in public places where the only available option may be an unsanitary restroom or another space that offers little privacy.

Our goal is to help create practical, adaptive clothing that provides easier access to prosthetic devices without requiring the wearer to undress. By funding innovative research and product development, we hope to give amputees greater comfort, independence, dignity, and confidence in their daily lives.

Our Values

We believe clothing should support a person’s life, not create additional barriers. Every design we pursue is guided by dignity, independence, comfort, and respect for the real experiences of people who use prosthetic limbs.

Our goal is to make everyday task such as adjusting, removing, or maintaining a prosthesis, simpler, more private, and less stressful. By listening to amputees, caregivers, families, and medical professionals, we hope to develop practical clothing solutions that respond to genuine needs.

We are also committed to building a compassionate and inclusive community where amputees and their families feel heard, supported, and empowered. Through thoughtful design, research, and collaboration, we strive to help people move through daily life with greater freedom, confidence, and comfort.
